Medicaid - Medicaid is a program that helps pay medical bills for some
people who have low income and cannot afford health care. Adult Medicaid
helps provide medical care for the elderly, people who are blind or disabled,
and people who need help with rest home costs and nursing home costs. The

CASA frequently partners with Wake County Human Services to provide CASA-owned housing in order to
bridge gaps in the community’s housing needs.  In response to the ever-increasing affordable housing
crisis, CASA has expanded its original mission of housing people with disabilities to include housing for
other low wealth individuals.  By providing quality scattered-site permanent housing throughout Wake
county, CASA’s tenants are more readily accepted into the community.

criteria, Legal Aid of North Carolina may be able
to help you with a civil legal issues, such as

foreclosures; housing discrimination; tenants’ rights; public or subsidized housing disputes.

Club Horizon is a psychosocial rehabilitation program serving adults with severe and persistent
mental illness.  Club Horizon is based on the Fountain House Model which emphasizes the
work ordered day.  Members receive psychosocial services through its program of meaningful
work and meaningful relationships.  Members work at their own speed toward personal goals
in employment,  education, housing, and socialization.
